Coastal Cup Rule Changes for PE Trip
Hi guys
After much too'ing and fro'ing and heated debate on email, the rules have had some changes made for the PE trip. Nothing too hectic, but you need to conform. The changes below are highlighted in red.
Coastal Cup Series
Class Specs/Rules
TT01 Touring Stock:
Chassis: TT01(D, E, R, etc) chassis only
Hopups: Only Tamiya hopups
Motor: Only Johnson 2 slot
ESC: teu101 / 104bk esc
Tyres: Any rubber tyres
Bats: Any bats
Boby: Only Tamiya 2 or 4 door body with original wing, no mixing & matching
Gearing: Limited to max of 25/55
Weight: 1380g without transponder
Club/Open Stock:
Chassis: Any 1:10 4wd chassis
Motor: Johnson/Mabuchi 2 slot
ESC: Any brushed or brushless esc
Tyres: Any rubber tyres, no foams allowed
Bats: Any bats
Body: 2 or 4 door bodies
Weight: 1380g without transponder
23t Super Stock:
Chassis: Any 1:10 4wd plastic tub chassis
Motor: Tamiya 23t rz/bz/tz motor
ESC: Any brushed esc
Tyres: Any foam or rubber tyres
Bats: Any bats
Body: 4 door body only
Weight: 1380g without transponder
13.5t / 19t:
Chassis: Any 1:10 4wd chassis
Motor: Any 13.5t brushless or 19t brushed motor
ESC: Any esc
Tyres: Any foam or rubber tyres
Bats: Any bats
Body: 4 door body only
Weight: 1380g without transponder
Mini 2wd:
Chassis: M03/4/5/6 chassis only
Motor: Sport tuned with Std gearing or silvercan with speed tuned gears
ESC: Any brushed esc
Tyres: M scale rubber ONLY
Bats: Any stick pack for M03/04/05 and any square hardcase for M06
Body: Any M scale body
Gearing: Max 20 pinion with sport tuned motor
Weight: 1200g without transponder
17.5t / 27t:
Chassis: Any 1:10 4wd chassis
Motor: Any 17.5t brushless or 27t SS brushed motor
ESC: Any esc
Tyres: Any foam or rubber tyres
Bats: Any bats
Body: 4 door body only
Weight: 1380g without transponder
F1 2wd:
Chassis: Any 1:10 F1 2wd chassis
Motor: Only Johnson 2 slot

No foams in minis.....that sucks..... Rubbers r so expensive and don't last long and minis r more fun on foams

Yip, but you can't please them all......
They're also going to gripe about the foam rule in 13.5 and 17.5, but we'll still never catch them in those classes with foams on anyway. We have the experience with rubbers in mini as they only changed this year, whereas they have the best of both worlds in the faster classes as they know how to setup their cars for either tyre choice. It's going to be interesting, would've even been more interesting if you and Ty were coming...........faders!!!!!
I just can't wait for the fun to start!!!!
