Not sure we can vote yet !!! I have voted !!!!
Do we not need to see how the 17,5T compares to a Silver can first ?
Who has FF03 with a Silver can in it ???

We can vote....if most vote for the combination, then we test and make it work.

Re: FFO3 Motor Choice
Ok.. cool
So we gotta test the two options to run together. We have a few weeks before the season 2 opening race.
How should we tackle this ?
We run 1 chassis with 17.5 and another with silver can, both with same gearing, and we go head to head with two drivers of similar ability.
If we see there is no real advantage, then we cool.
If there is, maybe a limit on gearing for the faster option.
???

Re: FFO3 Motor Choice
Ok I've got a 17,5T ( with the old speed passion ESC , same one we tested Mini's with !! ) I'll change it to the newer one with stock timing settings .
Then all we need is a silver can chassis and we are away , who's got one ????

Hey Oakes! Yo its been a while ! Well let's see , Team Thorpe has a FF pro we fitted it wit a johnson and geared da crap outta it ! Its Arshads ride ! We can use it for testin if u want Tai . I think da general consensus is split between johnsons and 17.5 s on FF . Let's test these rides 1st dudes ! Ps Tai let's do sum weekend testin ! What u say bro ?

Re: FFO3 Motor Choice
Might be good to see a johnson with long gearing and one with normal gearing to compare the differences in speed and lap times vs the 17.5t as you can be guaranteed the 17.5t is the one that is going to have it's gearing limited in the end in line with the fastest consistant silvercan times. It's not going to be easy but an excercise that must be done. I don't know if any of you will remember, but I ran my 17.5t in CS the one track attack day, it wasn't with a blinky esc, but I used low standard settings and I didn't pull away from anyone, but was fast on the infield with torque from the bl setup. It was against Nev and Phil and I think I was running in second for a while with Phil trying to catch me, which he eventually did when I had a brain fart moment. But it was awesome, much better than the silvercans performance, smooooooooooth out the corners!!!! Eish, those were the days!!!!
Oh, and by the way.......I've reserved my BL system!!!!!!!!!
Beware in a month or three!!!! Mini, GT, and maybe even FF later........!!!!!
